An Introduction to…

CANOPY WALKS take place in different woodland locations and are always led by an expert in natural habitats. What makes these woodland walks unusual is that as well as ecology, they also weave (surprize) live acoustic music, poetry, dance, sound installations and visual art through the trees…

Every walk is unique as it is shaped by each location, as well as the people who take part. A few performers are nationally known but most are brilliant creatives drawn from the local county. Our walks are no pressure, designed to be fun but also a little bit thought-provoking, to inspire, to encourage connection and a lasting love of woodlands.

Each CANOPY walk lasts about 90 mins (with stops). They run from spring to early autumn and are organised by a friendly and experienced team. We also have a ‘tiny shop’ which sells nature-related work by local artists.

CANOPY walks are quite gentle (usually about 1.5 miles) and will suit anyone age 12+ who can navigate slightly uneven natural terrain (and in a variety of weathers!)
